YOGA CLASSES 

2 Daily 90 minute Yoga Classes on a 500 square
foot, open-air pavilion sits high above the pool and gardens. The Yoga pavilion is our own private sacred space and is right where we stay! Made from local exotic hardwood, guests will enjoy lovely ocean views and breezes while engaging in yoga, meditation, and
workshops. This quiet, peaceful space allows the body to easily relax and be present. Yoga with the Howler Monkeys! Also we will explore yoga in the pool and the ocean's edge.

The clearest memory I own is that of sitting in lotus on top of some tall building in downtown Rochester, NY with the great guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the mid 70's. 

I spoke not a
word.....but there is where my meditation practice began.......


My Passion ultimately led me to Nosara Yoga Institute in beautiful Costa Rica to study
Yoga under the wing of Amba and Don Stapleton. 

Yoga has allowed me to return to a place in my soul I had put aside. My free-spirited
nature lets me devote my spare time to workshops and retreats to enhance my studies and
practice.

My asana practice is the product of practicing and studying Interdisciplinary Yoga - the
study of all lineages. I feel all styles have something beautiful to offer and feel blessed to be
able to offer a blend of the best!.

My studio, "Grounded By Yoga" in Bloomfield, NY has allowed me to expand from my private instruction to group instruction. To live freely from the heart is truth, and living my truth is the ultimate journey.......thank you all.

Trip Introduction

Villa Cortes Retreat Center, located on the Pacific Coast of Central America, is a wonderful gated resort filled with lush gardens, native habitat such as the Howler monkeys and exotic birds, jungle and ocean views, and the comfort of clean accommodations with air conditioning and full amenities. Within steps from the beach.....just follow the path!

Payment is due in full at the time of registration, and will be paid directly to Grounded by Yoga.   

 Enjoy your yoga retreat and many other optional activities from horseback riding, learning to surf, kayaking, bird watching and more.

Casa Cortes

Casa Cortes, the property’s original house, has an open
floor plan and large kitchen for entertaining. The wrap-
around porch is great for sunset views, lounging in the
Bali bed with cool ocean breezes and dining by
candlelight. Relaxing in the chaise in the breezeway
provides gorgeous views of the pool, waterfall and gardens.

Casa Arriba

Built around a coconut palm using responsibly harvested plantation teak, this house has a very warm, natural feeling. Colorful bedding
and an open floor plan add to the ambiance and tropical feeling of Casa Arriba. Guests enjoy the ocean and garden views from the elevated porch.
