Overview 17
day Charity Climb Itinerary includes: 8
days hiking Leo Mosho, 5 day Safari,
and more. land program from $4315pp plus fundraise the $2500* for ACS and Hospitality House
*All fundraising dollars for the Hospitality House / American Cancer Society are tax deductible.
This Mission is...to create a community of people whose lives have been effected by liver disease, and to strive to develop support for each other, spread awareness, fund awareness research for transplants and the disease cure while celebrating the beauty and goodness of life. This charity climb asks our participants to fundraise $2500 for the Hope Lodge's Hospitality House. The money raised from this climb will go directly to the project, the Hospitality House of Rochester.
Each house offers cancer patients and their families a free, temporary place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows Hope Lodge guests to focus on the most important thing: getting well.
And the Hope Lodge Hospitality House offers so much more than just free lodging. It provides a nurturing, home-like environment where patients and caregivers can retreat to private rooms or connect with others who are going through many of the same experiences.
Itinerary available with base camp volunteer programs for those who do not wish to climb, but do want to participate and contribute.

Climbing
Kilimanjaro and surviving a transplant or liver disease are huge success
stories, empowered by a powerful mental
attitude to make it happen. Our successful participants will look
ahead and visualize
themselves reaching the other side of this challenge. There must be no
doubts. The hiker must possess the positive outlook to reach the top, to
not do too much thinking about it or worrying about it. Success begins
with mental strength
and endurance. Winning also requires never giving up, never
giving in, regardless of the odds. From there it is hoped that the body will follow, but it is not quite that simple. Being in sound physical condition is the next most important aspect. The better shape one is in, the better he/she will perform and have an enjoyable experience. A solid training and exercise program is required to be prepared. The same is true in battling liver disease. The better the condition one is in, the more successful they will be in fighting off the disease. The hiker must be comfortable walking 4-8 hours a day on upward slopes. Summit day is extremely demanding calling for anywhere from 12-15 hours of climbing at high elevation. We do however help to prepare psychically for these challenges with local hikes and preparation or by setting you up with a suggested practice program to train with in your area.
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Fundraising VS Costraising for your trip: For
each Kili participant, this is where the adventure begins. The rewards
are great. The experience of climbing the highest mountain in
Africa, to have immersed yourself in one of the most awesome experiences of
your life and to do so with the many others who join their spirits on
Kilimanjaro. There is also the fulfillment of giving to the Hope
Lodge's Hospitality House, an organization committed to providing
comfort, care and lodging to families with loved undergoing transplant
surgery. Here is a breakdown of the fixed cost: Leo Mosho - $2800 Climbers will break up into two groups, one faster group and one slower group. Climbers will choose which group they want to be with. Five day safari - $1,480 Fundraising goal for Hope Lodge - a minimum of $2500 (for each climber) to help reach the $100,000 goal of this campaign.

We are committed to helping you go if you accept this challenge. Together, we will create a fundraising plan of how to help you get to Kilimanjaro. The main thing is to decide to commit to doing this first. There will be many pieces that will be important to your success.
The best exercise to prepare for Kilimanjaro is lots of walking. During work days, try to walk as much as you can ... take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk instead of driving or catching a taxi. Contact us for a suggested training program. info@luxworldtravel.com
Volunteer Opportunity: Share in this Journey of Inspiration and community of our African JOI adventure. You celebrate life by volunteering to help in an African Orphanage while the climbers are on the mountain.
In this 8 day volunteer program you share your skills along with helping support the 45 children cared for by the Orphanage community. You will live nearby at a comfortable hotel, and have the opportunity to join the others on Safari, post climb. In addition, in town there are opportunities for a hike, and local cultural experiences.
This private camp is located in the Seronera area of the Serengeti National Park. It is composed of several accommodation tents and a dining tent set in the wild bush. Tents are very spacious and are equipped with 2 large beds, a table and chairs and a bathroom with portable toilet and shower (warm water comes from buckets). Each tent also has a private veranda where you can relax in the evenings watching the sunset.
