TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Day 1: Arrive Albuquerque, NM and transfer to resort. Welcome reception and  Blessing Ceremony with Grandma Jean.

Day 2: Morning Yoga, Leisure Time for Spa, or optional cooking or pottery class, Evening Meditation.

NOTE: OPTIONAL TOUR: Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. The multi-storied adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years.

Day 3:  Morning Yoga, Backcountry Llama Trek with gourmet lunch, Leisure time for Spa,  Evening Meditation Circle.

Day 4: Morning Yoga, Leisure Time for Spa, Guided Hike, Farewell Dinner.

Day 5: Depart for Home

Activities touch us on all levels with opportunities for simple guided hikes, a blessing ceremony, Native American heritage spa treatments, nature guided eco-tours on a backcountry llama trek, optional  authentic regional  cooking class or pottery classes, and more.

The Llama Trek with Backcountry Gourmet Lunch: Sure-footed llamas will carry your gear, while experienced naturalist guides share their knowledge of southern Rocky Mountain ecology: native flora and fauna; edible and medicinal plants; natural and regional history; and wilderness living skills. After an inspiring hike at our own pace, our guides will prepare a sumptuous feast for us  in a pristine wilderness setting.

The Sacred Circle: At the heart of El Monte Sagrado, this green space of 80-year-old cottonwood trees is said to have once been a Native American dancing ground. Flowing waterfalls, stone water sculptures, a wooden footbridge, and a trout-stocked pond invite you to stop and enjoy the moment. Lush regional plants and flowers offer a place to meditate, contemplate and relax.

Deposit to reserve space is $500 pp, and is refundable up to 46 days prior to arrival, less an administration fee of $150 per deposit. Balance is due 45 days prior to arrival.

*Grandmother Jean is a tenth generation Cherokee Spiritual Cleanser, Master Crystal Worker, ceremonialist and     Spiritual Teacher.  We are honored to have her join us as our special guest and teacher for this Sacred Blessing.

In celebration, the first night of this trip we will partake in a sacred ceremony blessing by tribe leader Grandma Jean, followed by a gourmet celebration dinner.

RETREAT HIGHLIGHTS:  Our time here allows to open our hearts and minds each morning with personalized yoga classes with our guest yogis.  The days are for leisure, spa and nurturing, light hiking, and to also explore the rich Native American culture and teachings this region has to teach us. Evenings are for scared ceremonies or leisure.
